In the beginning (or how we embarked on this crazy journey of re-building a boat)

In the spring of 2004, we found a houseboat that was in a serious state of neglect.  we had some knowledgeable folks look it over to determine if it could become a seaworthy boat again.  We learned that it was a Kingscraft houseboat - made with all aluminum.
